This is a tool. Use common sense and don't leave it out in the rain. I'm delighted with my e3000 and thankful to Sonicare for creating it.
Due to the death of the American spirit of ingenuity, soon they will be no more.
There are 100 ways to take a little time and effort to care for this wonderful tool for years and years of use. Read other reviews for that. My teeth never felt so fresh after each cleaning, as if I just left my dentist's office. I brush more now than ever before as the e3000 is so easy, fun to use, and simple to clean after each use. Not 8 or 4 but just 2 little minutes and the job is done. Voila! Cleanest, whitest teeth ever. 5-Stars all the way. Thanks Sonicare!

This toothbrush is not a throw away when it does not recharge. Less expensive replacement brush heads. Recommend using your own (2) rechargeable AA batteries. Great brush for travel also.

Works great, but needs extra care to prevent failure, November 11, 2011
OK, same complaint as everyone else. My first unit died in less than 2 months from water seepage into the battery and switch compartments. That being said, it does an excellent job of brushing your teeth. It is cheaper than the sealed battery Sonicaire, and when the battery dies you don't have to wait for it to recharge, just pop in new batteries (I use NiMH rechargeables). So the downside is that you have to dry the unit carefully after each use. I still cannot find out how the water is getting inside the unit, but it is irrelevant if you dry it well enough. Don't bother with trying to seal the unit, it is more trouble than it's worth. My current unit is a year old and working fine. BTW, save the battery cap from any old "dead" units. I dropped my new one and the battery cap broke. I used the cap from the dead unit (cleaned off the corrosion) and it worked fine...so at least I got some utility out of the dead one...sigh. Minus one star for stupid design flaw.

I did a lot of research on blood pressure monitors/testers and finally decided on this one. It's simple to use, very accurate (I compared readings with my doctor's unit) and the price is right. Don't cheap out. There are lots of other units that claim to be "better" because, (1) They don't use batteries - this unit runs a very, very long time on 4 AA batteries, (2) Can connect to a computer - why is this necessary? A piece of paper (or, in my case, an iPhone) keeps a handy list to discuss with my doctor with no hassle, (3) They use a wrist cuff - an upper arm cuff is what your doctor uses, you should do the same.

Here's the key thing - you need to sit relaxed in a chair (without crossed legs) for 15 minutes before taking your blood pressure reading. If you are running around a supermarket and decide to use their free pharmacy one, your reading will be higher than it really is. Our doctor said that doing this just results in unreliably confusing readings because you were not "at rest". So, get one of these home units and use it there under similar conditions each time. You will breathe easier and your doctor will appreciate it.

Ideal Blood Pressure Kit for Home and Travel Use, July 20, 2011
My mother is a registered nurse with 20 years experience working in nursing homes. So I loaned her this blood pressure kit to gain a pro's impression. And indeed she was impressed.

The transparent package was easy to open and didn't waste a lot of plastic or paper. It included a cheap, blue, zip-up travel pouch. It isn't padded enough to protect the unit from a fall, and the little carry strap looks like it could fray with regular use; otherwise, it will keep away dust and bugs. It is lined to reduced scratches. The cuff, the monitor, and the cord all fit inside, so long as you tuck the cord inside the cuff.

Traditionally, the cuff is used on the left arm. We used it on my right and it seemed to work accurately. It takes little effort to slip over the bicep and includes a big plastic finger pad to help the user put it in place and hold it until the Velcro flap is secured. It doesn't over tighten and the cuff pulls apart easily. The air tube appears to be securely attached to both the cuff and the monitor. Instructions are printed right on the outside layer.

Operating the unit is as easy as hitting the start/stop button. The monitor will hold readings momentarily so they can be written down. My mother cautions that the user must be still during the reading, and the unit should be placed on a level surface. The cuff might not fit over a very large or muscular arm, and it certainly won't fight over my kicker's thighs. The monitor unit itself is sleek and lightweight; you can easily hold it in the palm of your hand. Its integral air pump doesn't vibrate or knock, and it's quieter than my electric shaver. The LCD screen is large with large digits, and is easy to read even in the glare of my LED desk lamps.

Users will not need to use a stethoscope with this unit, nor will a user who is not seriously disabled need outside assistance. It is easily self administered.

The unit offers a corded and a cordless power option. A 6-volt plug for American wall sockets (no included adaptors for foreign sockets), or power it with four AA-batteries. My household prefers rechargeable Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries. Note that you cannot recharge batteries via the corded power supply.

I contemplated many different devices, I was always worried about performance and cuff size. My arms are not small, and this cuff even has room to spare. The device seems very accurate and is simple to use.

Super Easy to Use!, March 14, 2011
Ever since my husband came home from the doc after being told to watch his blood pressure, we've been using this monitor. It's SUPER easy to use, it's fast, it's convenient and it's accurate. I took it with to the doctor and tested them side by side - both this machine and the doctor's came up with the EXACT same reading.

I love that it's so compact too. When it's not in use, I put it in the included bag and tuck it into the buffet in my dining room.

I'd recommend this cuff to anyone!

Easy to use blood pressure monitor. Will track for two people - I use it to track morning and evening for myself. However, like most blood pressure cuffs, it only comes with a standard size cuff, so if you weigh more than 150 pounds, remember to get a larger cuff as well.

I bought the Omron BP742 Series 5 a couple of weeks ago and so far its great. It has a feature to save BP readings for 2 users. It's ease of use is great and the large printout is also a plus. And as usual can't beat the price from Amazon and quality of service. Priced the same unit at Wal-mart and it was $17.00 more. The only con I have is where they placed the Start/Stop button because when you switch it on or off it tends to tilt, other than that its great so far. Oh, it also has a great little carrying case. Hope this helps anyone thinking of buying this unit.

This item was selected after searching the web and discussing with people who use various brands and types of blood pressure monitors. I had been previously using a wrist type monitor that refused to function 90% of the time and became extremely frustrating to use and probably elevated blood pressure just trying to get it to work.
This unit it a simple one person system and seems to be accurate and reliable. Would highly recommend it.

I had borrowed one of these from a firefighter who used one and he had checked his monitor out against one on an EMS truck and a couple of other sources and was very happy with how accurate it was. I used this at a training event where we did 60 - 80 blood pressures in one day. It performed beyond my expectations. I decided to order one and I also ordered the larger cuff with it. I am very happy and the monitor is all I expected it to be. The price was very good (even better than Walmart). I would recommend this to everyone.

I first bought one (blue) for my husband. We were both impressed with the thickness, stickiness, and extra length. I immediately ordered a red mat for myself, and am very pleased. I have a sensitive nose, and did not find the new mat smell offensive, just smelled a bit like rubber at first. The scent was gone after a couple of uses. Much better price than what I have seen in yoga studios.

The mat is great, nice and thick, very comfortable, and the edges stay flush to the floor after unrolling it. Since it is phthalate free, I expected it not to smell like "chemical fumes", but it did for a while after I opened it. I guess you'd just have to air it for a few days. Other than that, great product.

Watch is awesome. I think the calorie count is high. My sister has a polar watch and our calorie count is different. Running 6 miles, my watched said I burned over 1300 calories, which I think is high. I usually just go with 100 calories burned per 1 mile. Watch is SUPER EASY to use and adjust. Cute enough to wear every day. The chest strap is nice. I would suggest this watch to my friends...

Very easy to use, actually fairly attractive, it works fabulously! You put in your information and it monitors your heart rate, time exercised and calories burned, which is important to me. The Polar F6 Heart Rate Monitor is a fun little gadget to help you get motivated to work out. You can track how many calories are burned, and check that you're in your fat burning heart rate zone while you work out.

WIth regards to fit, my wrist is 5 3/4 inches in circumference and this watch fits perfectly. The watch can be adjusted as small as 4 1/4 inches to as big as 7 1/2 inches. The spacing between the adjustment holes is about 1/4 inches apart and there are 19 holes, so there is a wide range of adjustment options. The face is about 2 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches wide.

The stock transmitter is just fine, it came in medium. It slips right under the band of my work out bra and stays there during cycling, running, and Tae Bo. I haven't had a problem with it slipping while I work out, and I work out pretty hard (average 450 calories per workout) and have been working out with it for about 7 weeks now.

The only downside is that the program Polar uses to download your workout information to your computer is not Mac compatible for the F6. So if you have a Mac, make sure to check that the Polar you are purchasing is Mac compatible, as Polar has made some of its newer Heart Rate Monitors Mac compatible.

I would order from this seller again. I ordered my product around midnight on a Saturday and got my F6 the following Monday! Quick!

These brush heads last longer than my regular toothbrushes ever did. Even though it is recommended to change them every 2-3 months, I have used mine much longer because they don't show signs of wear until the 4th or 5th month. At least that is my experience. If you get on the subscriber program, the price is better than what you would pay anywhere else.

It took me a long time to find the Philips Sonicare HX6023 ProResults Compact Brush Heads, 3pk. I am glad I kept looking. I won't say my my mouth is small but the standard brush just did not fit the shape of my jaw. I felt I was missing areas that needed to be brushed. My Dentist even commented, the last time I saw him, that my gums looked inflamed.That was the first time A Dentist ever told me that and I am Old!! The compact brush does a great job and makes a big difference. I feel certain that when I go back for my six month exam I will get a good report.

FOR THICK HAIR, July 16, 2010

I read multiple reviews regarding the 1 inch and 2 inch CHI flat irons and was so nervous to invest in the two inch bc people didn't seem to like it better than the 1 inch and I read a lot of complaints that it is harder to use. I love the one inch but my hair is very thick and somewhat coarse and it takes me some time to flatten it all with the 1 inch. (Also I am impatient so tend to tend to take large chunks of hair rather than doing multiple small areas.) I LOVE THE 2 INCH CHI. Have had it about 3 months. It works so much better on my thick, coarse hair, flattening it quicker, and letting me take bigger chunks at a time while still doing a great job. It is better than the 1 inch. I think the reason some women haven't liked it is because I don't think the length of the hair really matters, I think it is thicker textured hair which does better with the two inch. I absolutely don't think it is awkward or hard to use. I am so glad I bought the two inch and will probably never go back to the one inch. This is the greatest hair straightener ever. (If you have thick hair also I would highly recommend the CHI blow dryer- I went all CHI and am saving probably like an hour a week in hair drying time!) Well worth the money- I wish I had invested in the CHI flat iron much sooner than I did.

I haven't had any problems, I love this product and it heats up very fast. But I also treat my iron very well and protect it like the $100 dollar investment it is. The ceramic coating hasn't peeled off, nor has the red velvet that protects your fingers. I am white and have shoulder length hair that is super thick, wavy & frizzy... but you can't tell after I use this product. I can get my hair done in about 15 or 20 minutes tops; unless I'm running behind, it only takes 5-10 for a semi-acceptable hair job. And it lasts all day! Compared to the cheaper strait irons (that are sold at places like Walmart for about $20-30) which took over an hour for me to get all the waves and frizz under control (and was half frizzy again by noon).

The only warning I would give is to start at the low to medium heat settings and work your way up. When I say hot, I mean this puppy gets HOT! I think most people could easily burn their fingers or ears by touching their actual hair just after it has moved out of the iron on heat settings 8, 9 or 10. I also would suspect some of my black friends (chemically treated hair or not) could easily singe their hair off on the highest settings.

Also, there is no automatic shut off!!! SO I always check twice that I unplugged it before leaving the house. I don't want to come home to a melted counter top or the house on fire!

I bought this for my friend a couple of years ago and she LOVES it! She used to buy her straighteners from target or walmart and they would either break after a few months or singe her hair. She said this flat iron doesn't burn her hair at all and keeps it straight almost all day! Since I got her the 2 inch one, it cuts down the time for her to do her hair in half. I also got a great deal off of a seller on Amazon who said we could return it if it had any problems, and so far, she hasn't had any yet. I think I paid around $70 for this one, which is like 1/3 of the retail value. I definitely am too cheap to splurge on this regular price =)Thinking of getting my sister one now too now that I know it's reliable

I was looking for a true aviator-style pair of sunglasses with a true to life mirror finish (like looking in a silver mirror). These glasses are not those. The lens is very dark and reflective, but it is not a true silver mirror finish like you'd see in a mirror in a store. Also, they are sort of aviator-ish, but not really. The nosepiece/bridge thing is straight, not curved as in the photo. I am returning these and will continue my quest for real mirror-looking sunglasses. The photo of the item is very misleading.

I was somewhat afraid of how these might look in person, but for the price, decided to risk it. Turns out, they look awesome! As other people noted, looking out from them, they are darker than you would imagine from the picture; but they also look really cool on. They do indeed look like they cost more than they do. Mine came in a black cloth sack that you can use to wipe the glasses clean. Overall, I'm really pleased.

Not as Mirror-y as expected, May 20, 2010

I was buying these for a photography prop, and thought they were going to be a whole lot more mirror-esc ....they're reflective, but i personally wouldn't call them mirrors.
BUT beyond that, they got here so fast, were not broken, were packaged pretty safely and definitely good sunglasses if that's all you plan on useing them for. PLUS holy affordable.
Over all very good just a little deceiving.

But as i said, if you need them quick, if you want them in one piece and want the somewhat sorta mirror effect i'd go with them.
But not if you want straight up mirror looking.

Inappropriate packaging, May 18, 2010

Inappropriate packaging (bubble wrap cushioned mailer) was utilized by the seller to ship two pair of Premium Mirror Aviator Sunglasses from California to Michigan. The weight of the surrounding mail obviously crushed the glasses. The customer representative I spoke with was very understanding and sent out two more pairs of sunglasses. I communicated with her the packaging was inappropriate for the product being shipped. The second pair of glasses arrived in the same (crushed) condition. My attempt to produce a better outcome went unanswered.

Slippery When Sweat, May 22, 2010

Hey im an avid yoga guy who wanted a high quality mat. i live far from stores so i had to use the internet to guide me. This mat appears to be awesome, and it is, except it is extremely slippery when wet. i sweat like a spring in a rain storm, and after minute five of my yoga the mat becomes a liability and even dangerous to use. i have to have a towel on top of it now. some reviews said that the slipperiness would wear off after a while, but its been two months and it is still slippery. once it wears off though it will be the perfect yoga mat, but until then its a slip and slide.

I recently started getting into yoga, and decided that I wanted to drop all the middle-of-the-road stuff and jump right to the high-end product. I was also very interested in getting a thicker mat for my knees.

I think that for the average yoga practitioner, this product would be just fine. My hands, however, sweat a little more than the average person and doing Adho Mukha Svanasana made me slip in a way that could only be characterized as dangerous.

The manufacturer recommended that I rub the mat down with sea salt, which I did many times. I also used mild detergent scrubs and even left it in the sun for several hot days to degrade the "film" that comes as a "part of the manufacturing process." Still no dice.

The last time that I called the manufacturer, they mentioned that Manduka mats use a "closed cell" technology which keeps water out of the mat (mitigating the need for periodic cleaning) but necessarily keeps water on the surface of mat. Translation: sweat stays between your hands and the mat. Sliiiiiiiip....

The recommendation of Manduka is to buy one of their towels to rest on the mat, but my yoga instructor tells me that the towels shift and move when hopping into uttanasana from high chaturanga, a very common vinyasa transition. Yikes! That's a lot of trouble and uncertainty for now investing close to $130 into mats and towels. (Not to mention that you now have to carry around 2 items, not just one.) I recognize that a mat that has an open cell system will require periodic washing, but it also means that my back won't give out doing what should be a fairly simple pose.

I purchased the Jade Yoga Fusion mat just last week, and after only scrubbing it once, it is perfect.

I am enjoying this mat tremendously! It is very supportive through out the entire yoga class. I have not had any concerns with slipping. It is quite sturdy. It does weigh more than the average mat so it is probably not a good one if you want to travel often with it, but for everyday use it is wonderful! I did notice that the mat is a little wider than my previous one. My yogi toes works well but does not cover from side to side or top to bottom. Not a concern for me at all. The chemical smell that I had read about is definitely noticeable the first few times you use it but goes away rather quickly.

The Merit Fitness 725T Treadmill is by far one of the best purchases you can ever buy.It's a really greatly built treadmill for a low price which is great because its the same as one of those very expensive ones.It has the following, Weight capacity of 250 pounds,counts calories very well (1 calorie is 30 steps,if you are running instead of walking the count of calories differ due to rate of the heart).The treadmill also has 7 different progams as well as an incline which in great,it runs at 1mph to 10 mph.It even comes with a cup holder.Now things you really need to know,when you first order the treadmill on amazon choose free shipping you will save 87 dollars and have your treadmill in 7 to 10 days,The shippers will call your house once you order it they should call you within the time limit of the treadmill coming to you they call me 2 days before it came, but it might be different for you.Make sure you have space for it because though its smaller then the bigger models if you live in an apartment like myself then it takes a lot of space but the good part of this is that it folds up. If you live in a house then it probably won't take so much space.
When you first get the treadmill be VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU UNBOX IT,because when I did it the part that holds the treadmill up slam down by my feet thank god I did not get hit because I'LL be at a hospital rite now. So be very careful,also when installing your treadmill some parts may not fit but this is not the case cuz every part does fit but you have to do it in order of the Manuel and if the parts like the screws don't fit don't worry because it takes time you just have to find how the screws go in order of your treadmill due to the fact that every treadmill is made differently.The company even builds them up and takes them down to make sure yours will work and install easy.The only part I hate is when you move it because the treadmill is very heavy you literally need to lean it to move it by its wheels.I say get the treadmill today its great and so far I lost 5 pounds in one week.

After purchasing the Merit Fitness 725T Treadmill I was somewhat dissapointed as to the lack of the couch attachment that I was informed was included. Also I broke the soda can holder within a couple days and have been lacking in funds to purchase a new TV to hang in front of this thoughourly dissapointing excuse for a fitness machine. I think I probably burn more calories getting from my chair to the Merit Fitness then I do on it.
I wish that there was an easier way to lose weight, but with my current TV schedule it's entirely impossible to fit any time in.

I bought this treadmill about a month ago and I believe it was a good buy. The assembly was completed with help from my fiance in under an hour. I was a bit confused as to how to perform the lubrication properly, but again I got help from my fiance, and we got that completed in 10 minutes.

This treadmill is a very quiet machine, which was a concern for me since I live in an apartment and I'm on the second floor. I was afraid that the noise would disturb my neighbor downstairs, but that has not been a problem at all.

I really like how this machine folds upright. As other reviewers have posted, you will NOT be able to store this treadmill under a bed, because it folds upright. This treadmill has been easy for me to move on carpeted floors by myself once it's folded. I am a short person- 5'2", 27 years old, yet overweight and out of shape, so that should help you gauge whether you will find it easy for you to move yourself.

The best part about this treadmill is that it comes with numerous pre-programmed workouts, a heart-rate monitor (I personally have had no issues with it), and I adore that it has an incline. I feel that this treadmill is a real value for your dollar, and it seems very sturdy and not cheaply manufactured.

I also feel that the instructions were easy to follow even though I had trouble figuring out the lubrication. The treadmill also came with all the tools you need to assemble, which was very convenient.

Overall, I recommend this treadmill to anyone that wants a good-quality, inexpensive piece of equipment.

I scheduled delivery on this for between 9 a.m. and noon, and at 11:36 the truck pulled up. The driver asked if he had my correct number, because he tried to call to say he was on his way. I said yes, but I had emailed and given my cell number because my dog had just chewed through my landline cord and I hadn't replaced it yet. They emailed back and said they updated, but apparently didn't get it passed on to the driver. No problem, just saying he tried to call which was cool.
He was a dear and rolled it down the hall to my gym.
The packaging was excellent.
I'm a 46 year old woman and I had it assembled and running by 1:00. (that's p.m., not a.m.!! haaa)
Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Tooling was provided. A Phillips screw driver and t-handle hex key, both with nice comfy grips! Hardware packaged well and separately for each of the 4 steps. "Open bag #1 and..." and so on.
There were no missing parts, no misaligned holes, no bloody knuckles or broken fingernails and I didn't cuss it a single time.
A box knife is handy for cutting box the away from it rather than trying to wrestle it out of the box.
Lubricating the belt was probably the toughest just because loosening the roller bolts was tough as they were pretty tight. Tough, but not impossible.
Speed controls work, incline controls work. So far I am as happy as a clam with it.

The assembly was very tedious with many types of bolts and washers and parts, but the diagrams were informative. The machine works quietly and smoothly. I bought this product a year ago. I am just now starting to use it. I did have a few issues when I bought it. I kept getting an error with the computer. I called and got a new plug and computer. FREE!. I have to say the customer service department for Schwinn was more than accomodating. I am very pleased with the help. I am discovering the squeaks that some other have mentioned. I will try to loosen some bolts and I hope that helps. I love this Elliptical. I have used other kinds of equipment and never felt like I was getting a good workout. I have back issues and have not had any problems. I can use this Elliptical and I don't put any stress on my back. No impact on anyother areas that I usually have pain. I think this Ellipical is actually helping me with the painful areas. I am very happy and would recommend this to anyone.

After doing my home work and reading tons of reviews on the Schwinn 430 I was convienced that this was the best work out equipment for me.

* Delivery was on time. It came when they said it would come; however they only had one delivery guy when they should have had two. It was a good thing that I only had a couple of steps for him to lift that large box with the dolly.

* When I got the Elliptical in the house, I immediately looked in the penny saver for a handy man or contractor to put it together for me. I didn't want to wait for my son as I was to excited to see how it was going to work. The contactor came and it only took him 1 hour and 45 minutes to put it together so it was worth the extra $35 he charge me.

* When I first got on the Elliptical, it took some getting use too with the programing, but since I was only starting out on the easy levels for now, it is okay.

*There is no sweaky noise at all as I told the contractor not to over tighten the moving parts, as I read this in most of the reviews. One thing I did do from reading someone elses review, is put rug inside my paddles to keep me from hitting them as I worked out. That was the only noise that I was hearing due to th

I purchased the Timex T5G971 Unisex Sports personal heart rate monitor. I love it. The price was very reasonable and it works great. My husband and daughter both have heart rate monitors that they use when they are at the gym. They paid a higher price for their models, but my model offers more options and is easier to use! This is my first heart rate monitor and has been an excellent piece of equipment to supplement my exercise regimen. I purchased this so I could monitor my heart rate alone. I suspect the calories burned calculation to be off, but the heart rate has been accurate so far. The beeping from the monitor to indicate being below or above a target pace is inaudible when I'm exercising outside or in a busy gym. If you are like me, looking for a reliable heart rate monitor that just monitors your heart rate, I'd recommend this. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

This is comfortable to wear and seems to be pretty accurate. It's not as intuitive as I had hoped and may require pushing several buttons to get the information while working out, which can be tricky. Still, the range of info (heart rate, avg heart rate and length of time in target zone) is very helpful and I've noticed a difference in my workouts. I can set goals and get closer to meeting them using the information. It's also fun to see what else my heart is up do during yard work, etc. As noted by another reviewer, the chest strap has a potentially fragile clasp but so far, so good. I think this is a great value for the money for anyone who is interested in learning more about what kind of work their heart is doing-

We've been using Sonicare for many years. (We're on our third base unit. They last six or seven years depending on how you handle them.)
We prefer the compact brushes. They get between the teeth better and under your gums. Not only does the brush keep your teeth clean and shiny but it promotes healthy gums. Keeping them tight prevents gingivitis. I know because I developed deep pockets before using the Sonicare brush. I at first had to go to the dentist everymonth for a cleaning. Now my gum tissue is excellent. Pockets are protected by them. I also use a Waterpic. However the Sonicare with compact brushes has been my saving grace.

Replace after 3 months... used to be after 6 months, April 24, 2010

I've been using a Sonicare brush (handle) since November, 2007. I'm on my fifth brush head. See, these brush heads used to be good for six months (5 brushes => 2.5 years), and now these new versions supposedly are only good for three. And they are the same price...

It seems there are three possibilities for lowering the replacement time to three months.

(1) Sonicare relabeled to make more money by increasing turnover.
(2) Sonicare found that their products didn't live up to what they originally claimed (in my experience they lasted six months).
(3) Sonicare redesigned these brushes to wear out faster to make more money.

I'm on my first brush head of these "three month" heads, about four months in. Yes, I ignored their three month suggestion. The brush head seems to be lasting about as well as the others but I'll report back again in two months if that isn't the case. So my guess is that Sonicare's decision was based on (1). If it was (2), I suspect they would have modified their six month label to suggest 3-6 months, not just having the time to three months.

On the brushes themselves, they work well. The heads never fit the handle as seamlessly (or quietly) as they probable could but this isn't a major problem. The new versions have a blue strip of color in the brush that does partially wear off in about four months... Sonicare trying to tell me to replace the head, no doubt.

Overall, 4 stars for the brush head, minus 2 stars for what I interpret as Sonicare trying to scam its customers by an extra $20-25/year. When I do look for a new brush handle, I definitely won't be looking at just Sonicare and will have a bias to buy another brand.

This is a great machine. If you do not want to spend tons of money on better-rated bikes, and you don't need a large variety of programs to motivate you, you can't go wrong with this machine. Price is reasonable. It is comfortable, silent and is small enough that it is not in the way. It does not overwhelm a room, and doesn't make the room look like a gym. Went together perfectly -- until the right pedal would not thread into the post. Called the co. and it was replaced within 4 days. I expected a much longer wait than that. Who is that prompt these days! I'm 5'4" about 130 lb. and the adjustments for my height are perfect. Even though it says it holds 250 lb. my husband (under that!) is hesitant to try it. So, I can't rate it for performance above 130 lb. being used every single day. Other than that -- go for it! Great way to get in shape :)

Wow! Super fast shipping. I paid for ground 5-7 days and received it in 2 days! I opened the box, lined up the parts to get ready for assembly and in about a half hour it was complete. I read a few bad reviews not knowing what to expect when it arrived, but all in all it was an awesome purchase. Make sure that you read the instructions on the tension knob, which can be difficult if you are just looking at the pictures.

Good lenses BAD FRAME, April 23, 2010

The lenses are very nice. The frame however is EXTREAMLY CHEAP. The rubber backing on the arms pulls off very easy and the frame was slightly bend when I got it. I would never recomend these to anyone but it is my own fault for buying sunglasses online. You get what you pay for.

This is a very nice pair of sunglasses! My husband broke his old pair, but I don't have to worry about that with these. These sunglasses have a lifetime guarantee against breakage. They really look nice on my spouse, and they have a 'quality' look about them. Corrective lenses can be placed in these, if the need arises. We would definately be return customers. This is a truly great flat iron. I purchased it nearly a year ago, use it at least 3 times a week, and it still works perfectly. It heats up remarkably quickly, which is handy of you want to touch up on your way out the door, and even my thick hair stays incredibly straight all day. I would recommend also purchasing the Chi 44 Iron Guard Thermal Protection Spray to keep hair from getting dry. The only tiny problem I've noted is some squeakiness in the hinges, which began a few months after purchase (really not that big of a deal). As a side note, the color is very shiny and fun, and the case is great for going on trips. Really superb product.

The ec0-mat just make me feel guilty-free carrying it around. It grip very well, and I'm loving practicing my Yoga on this beautiful mat. It's quite stink at first, i had it un-rolled indoor for a week to make the rubber smell go faster. The Mat still heavier than other brand, but i can't find this size mat anywhere else....

took it on yoga retreat and it is the best yoga mat, compared to all the other ones that were flipping with the wind. it's a very comfortable mat to do your practice. my gym offers other high end mats, but this mat is the best. i am thinking of buying a new one, since there are some spots that are starting to wear out after almost daily use for the last year, even though it still looks perfect. i just like the new colors.. mine is a beautiful black one....

Great product, lousy instructions, March 9, 2010
The Proform J6 treadmill walking belt was a perfect replacement for the worn out belt on my treadmill. It fits great, and it works great. However, the installation instructions that came with the belt couldn't have been less helpful if they were written in "Klingon". They were so generic as to be virtually useless.

Luckily, I'm fairly handy, so with approx. 4 hours time and a little "elbow grease", I was able to replace my worn out belt with this new belt, and it performs like new.

My advice...unless you're at least somewhat mechanically inclined, and can work "intuitively" (with virtually no help from written instructions) I wouldn't tackle a treadmill belt replacement on my own....at least not with the instructions that come this product.

Do not buy anything from this company. The product developed bearing problems within a couple of weeks & their "service" dept is obviously trained to stall, stall, stall and then send out the wrong parts. Then the tech gets sent out much later. Then when those parts fail, the same lame-brain process starts again. Every call to the "customer service" is belatedly returned & then it is always aimed at putting the blame on the tech, but the end is always the same: we are not going to fix it so you are happy, we are not going to replace it, and, since we have now delayed this past thirty days, we are not going to return your money. Do NOT buy from this company!!

This is a great machine for home use. It is very compact and has lots of power to challenge you. It also stores your workouts statistics to keep track of your progress.

Make sure that it is on a firm flat surface. Adjust the base screws to ensure that it levels correctly on all four sides and there is no rocking. Keep your feet straight to evenly balance your weight on the machine.

It gives me a great workout.

ProForm elliptical machine not worth the hassle when it breaks down and parts are needed. Customer service is non available (your call is very important to us) is a joke. After holding for 15 minutes the recording says we will call you back, you will not lose your place in line. Nobody ever calls. When you finally do get thru and order the part, it is "on back order" just long enough to let your warranty expire. They have to ship it from China where the machine is made. Total ripoff for sure.

Works Good!, April 15, 2010

I've had this monitor for about a month and use it regularly. Normally I don't wet the sensors but just wait until I start sweating and then it picks up the heartrate well. I've found it to be accurate for the most part, but sometimes during the second half of my workout it starts fluctuating somewhat dramatically (jumps up to 20 beats higher and back down in a second or two) so I don't think that is correct, unless I'm about to have a heart attack, which I hope is not the case.

My ribcage (where you are supposed to wear the monitor) is about 29 inches and the strap, even at it's tightest, is loose on me. I tuck it up under my sportsbra to keep it in place and that works fine, but if you are a small person you may need to figure out a way to shorten the strap.

Overall, it works well for my purposes and I am happy with it.

This is a good product for the money. What keeps them from getting five stars is that they do get squirrely every once in a while and report some heart rate that is a little wacky.
The key is to keep the sensors wet, and I mean very wet. It may be different for other climates, but here in the northeast you may not sweat as much.
It's a good tool for setting the high and low heart rate and then turning on the alarm for aerobic exercise. Then all you need to do is listen for it and listen to your body. You don't have to look at the monitor.
Customer service is not very good, but the device instructions are good enough overall.
Admittedly this is the only one I've tried, but others seem to be priced higher and many of those don't have a chest strap. This monitor meets my needs and I have no need to look further.

I've been using this monitor for 2-3 months and have no complaints. It works great and is easy to use. For less than $40, I feel it is a great buy. The monitor works fine. The stop watch works fine. The blue backlight is cool when running at night. The more expensive Polar units have a built-in battery in the chest strap which is NOT interchangeable. So when the battery dies, you need to replace the whole strap. It doesn't sound like Polar is looking out for the customer with that design. I think Polar just likes to sell more chest straps. If you're looking for a good, basic heart monitor w/stopwatch, I would recommend this unit. If you're the type that needs to spend more money than necessary, go for the Polar.

Best of the Sonicare models, March 28, 2010

I've switched back and forth between Sonicare and Oral-B over the years. I like the fact that Sonicare is now using lithium-ion batteries, and that they offer a compact head. They seem to do a better job cleaning my teeth, which is probably why my dentist recommends them. Overall, this is the best toothbrush I've ever used.

I prefer this Flexcare Plus model because:
- The battery lasts twice as long as Flexcare models
- You can turn it on or off with just one press of the power button (the HealthyWhite models use the same button for power and mode changes)
- It doesn't change brushing mode if I accidentally press the mode button while brushing my teeth, the way the Flexcare does
- It comes with a decent hard travel case, where the Flexcare comes with a minimal soft case
- The mode display is invisible when it's off, which looks nice

I don't think the UV sanitizer is needed or desirable, so I don't use it. This model comes with a separate travel charger, but unlike the Flexcare, it doesn't have a cord wrap.

I've never used an electric toothbrush before, so I didn't really know what I was in for. This is one of the best buys I have made in a while. This bike works great! It is very quiet, the resistance levels go from non-existent to challenging, and it is very compact and fits in my bedroom for when I want to ride it in the morning and watch morning sports news. I love the computer settings so I know how long I've been riding, how far and how many calories I've burned. Overall, great value and I would recommend this to anyone who wants an easy way to get a cardio workout in their home for a great price.

This machine is well-designed and well-made of quality materials. It is sturdy, compact, quiet and functions exactly as it is supposed to. Assembly was straightforward and everything fit properly. It took me about 50 minutes to assemble working at a leisurely pace. The levels of resistance are appropriate for me, but for someone who is young, fit and strong, the maximum may not be enough. Adjustment for different users of different sizes is not as easy as on some more expensive models I looked at locally, but it still can be done in less than a minute. The price is right and you can get free shipping from Amazon (regular shipping would be about $40).

I purchased the bike for my parent, who has a knee problem. She loves it. Though there are few quirks and need for improvement. For the price, it is definitely good household exercise machine. I live in apartment and the machine is quite enough to ride it without causing tenant below to rush up and complaint (however it does vibrate enough to not to use during wee hours).

As long as you are not trying to ride at 35+ m/h, ^_^ the machine is perfect for any novice or elderly person.

Another info - machine is made for someone who is taller than 5'6" (I think...). My parent is apprx. 5'4" and she have to put cushion behind her back to ride comfortably without over extending to reach the pedal, because height(or seat adjuster) is one hole too long.

CHI - Simply the Best, April 7, 2010

I have naturally frizzy, curly hair. I have bought enough hair tools to buy a new car. When I found "Hot Tools" I was happy that I found curling irons hot enough to straighten my hair. Then I saw the CHI tool. The price was ridiculous. But in my quest to straighten, I bought it. Awesome. This is the only tool I know that straightens and gets close enough to the root of my hair to straighten from top to bottom. I don't need to go over and over each strand. A couple times per slice of hair does the trick. And it does not leave your hair fizzy on the bottom. Be sure to use a leave in conditioner as this is one hot puppy. But a few split ends compared to a sleek look in less time - you figure it out. This is my 3rd Chi in about 10 years - not bad. My Chi is right up there with oxygen - can't do without!

Wow... Simply, WOW!

I have long, flowing dark brown hair that almost reaches my waist. I come from a half African American half white heritage, so I wavy and naturally frizzy hair. My previous straightener was a metal one, and I would usually have to go through my hair twice in order to get all the waves out. That is, until I bought this straightener.

This straightener is absolutely a godsend! I love it and it's well worth the price I paid for it! It used to take me 1 hour and 45 minutes to straighten my whole head of hair (due to the length and the waves). Chi has rapidly reduced my straightening time to about 30 minutes, mainly because I only have to go through each section of my hair once. With my last straightener, I also had trouble curling my hair and keeping those curls in place, especially in moist temperatures. Not anymore!

I love Chi so much - I don't know how I went without it! If asked how I would describe this straightener in one word, I would simply say, "Wow!" So far, this has been the best valued straightener by far.

Gift for wife. She LOVES it., April 1, 2010 My wife has used flat irons in the $20-40 range and has not been very happy. Her sister had her try her CHI flat iron the other day and she was thrilled with the results (she did look good!). "No frizzies". "Doesn't pull my hair" etc... So, I got her one for her birthday. Hate to give this 2 stars unfortunately, here's why... It's the most slippery mat I've ever done yoga on. As nice as it is otherwise, this makes it almost completely unusable!

After quitting smoking and getting better and more regular at yoga classes, I decided to treat myself to a fancy new mat... the old one was a little slippery (a 20 $ Tapas)... got the black mat, boy was I disappointed! the rubber, though very firm and comfortable for knees, smells terrible for weeks besides the slipping (if your palms sweat even slightly). Instructions talk about some kind of invisible film you have to scrub off or give a few months to break in. I scrubbed it down 3 times without seeing any difference. Keep in mind too that after scrubbing a product, what if you realize you want to return it?!

Buy this mat only if you plan to buy a towel to put over it (to avoid slipping) and are ok with spending the $$ on what you could have for much less. A particularly embarrassing time in yoga class, after noticing what a hard time I was having holding down dog, the instructor gave me her tattered '$26' mat and I made it through class much better.

Final thought... if not for the slipping and scrubbing down issues... this mat would get 5 stars for comfort and not flapping around as you jumper step. Happy shopping!

this elliptical is very smooth and sturdy. a lot of them i tried were kind of wobbly. the stride is perfect to where you can extend your arms and legs to a comfortable level. i would recommend this product.

Difficult to assemble, but good once it is, August 30, 2008
Once it's put together it seems very sturdy. But took 2 people 3 hours to put together. Almost everything is put together with an allen wrench, I recommend buying a nice Allen wrench with a handle to get some leverage as some of these pieces are very hard to screw in all the way.

I recommend 1) nicer Allen wrench, 2) exacto knife to get it out of the box and make sure you have an adjustable wrench or you may never get the pedals attached firmly enough which causes them to wobble.

I just stepped off of it and it was great, so if you can handle the assembly it's a good product. The pulse handle bars seem flimsy, but everything else seems very sturdy.

My wife and I have had our elliptical for about a month now. Neither of us had used an elliptical before so we don't have much to compare it to.

When the box came, it was really heavy and it was a workout in itself to set it up. It took about 2-3 hours. We haven't gotten it quite leveled yet correctly but it is really solid. We bought it for the game fit technology since we thought the video game could be motivation but when working hard, it is hard to stay focused on the game. Mainly, we use the speakers for pod casts that distract us. We haven't worked our way up to the most difficult workout programs yet but are surprised at how easy all the 20 minute ones are. They only go to resistance level 5 out of 12. I guess for the more difficult workouts you have to spend more time.

Overall, we are really pleased that it is actually fun to use and making us much more fit.

We really enjoy the workout on this elliptical. The game feature is fun, however it does not "distract" you as much as you wish! The workouts are gym quality and you totally feel it the next day. The only complaint we have is that the heartrate monitor does not seem very accurate. I am not sure if there is a problem with the sensor or what, as this is not a show stopper for the actual workout. My goal is to do 30 mins/day and right now I am up to 25. Its very study and the stride is very smooth even though I am short and my other half very tall. We are both very glad that we purchased this model over the other ones and I can honestly say that I like working out on it.

Great product! The endoint shipper and Amazon got their wires crossed. The delivery firm didn't have Amazon listed as paying shipping/delivery. One email to Amazon got that resoved without my having to contact the delivery company again.

Assembly is 12 steps. With a Phillips screwdriver and an adjustable wrench or visegrips, that's all you need ( product provides some Allen wrenches which are the most used in assembly. Took us 2 hours, but we took our time, and double checked each step. The company does provide a number you can call for someone to assemble after delivery if you want that. I'm a software guy, not a hardware guy, but had no issues with assembly.

The product is five star. I gave three stars due the shipping glitch, and extra time prior to purchase to see which model year it was ( Amazon should fix that in the online product description ). At the time I purchased, Amazon was the lowest price provider, and had free shipping.

I absolutely love this machine! It arrived in one piece and assembly was relatively easy! My best friend also ordered this machine and it did arrive damaged but was replaced quickly. I, however, had no problems and took off running.

Triathlon name is misnomer - but good monitor otherwise, October 13, 2009
The watch has "Triathlon" below the Ironman label, and the manual states it is a triathlon training tool. However, this monitor will not work while swimming. It is an excellent tool for cycling and running, and the review mode is very helpful in recording workout information. I called Timex when the heart rate monitor failed to function in the pool after re-reading the manual to see if the problem could be pilot error. Instead, Timex warranty personnel told me the watch did not work while swimming and was not intended to and there was nothing they could do about the problem. (Not very courteous in providing that information as well.) He also added none of the monitors will work in water. This is incorrect as Polar monitors work quite well while swimming. At the advertised price on Amazon, this is a very good value, and if you don't need it for swimming, it is very good. I bought the monitor specifically for cycling and swimming, and I still considered keeping it because the other features of the watch are excellent.

This watch does everything I was looking for in a watch. The numbers and buttons are all large enough to operate with ease and the lap feature works properly (seems basic, but I've had two watches without) . The heart rate monitor is comfortable to wear and syncs well. I was skeptical of that but it works perfectly. You don't get that feeling that its slipping while you're running at all and it keeps an accurate running tally of your pulse and then you can save the chrono time when you get back and recall data, including your max and average heart rate. Whether you're an avid runner or a gizmo geek, that's a neat feature. I'm not sure which category I fall under but I dread the run and love reviewing the stats when I'm done, so I guess that's leaning toward geekdome for me. It's a good watch, I love it!

Great training aid, March 28, 2010
I've been using this watch for about 3 weeks now. I use it for cycling and running. It is easy to read, and easy to operate. If you already have any of the Timex Ironman watches, using this will be intuitive for you. It basically works like and has the same features as my normal Ironman watch, just a slightly different button configuration to accommodate the heart rate features. I especially enjoy being able to see at a glance how hard I am training by my heart rate. Just since starting to use this, and for no other reason, I have shaved 2 minutes off my 2 mile run. I found that I wasn't working as hard as I thought I was, and knowing my heart rate helped me push myself a little harder. The strap is comfortable. Although it took me about 10 minutes the first time I used it to learn to place the strap correctly, since then I get it right the first time every time. I found that following the suggestion in the directions to wet the area you are placing it helped me get a signal much easier. I have also downloaded the training software from the Timex web site. It is great software, even the free version. I plan on ordering the data exchanger soon so that I can download the info from my watch straight to the computer instead of manually entering it as I am now. By the way, I am using a Mac and the software works fine on it. I also like that it is web based so that I can log on at work and show off to my buddies my improved lap times!

Nice Product
I have researched the Sonicare toothbrushes and found the best value to be this new model, I am very happy with it. I read all the reviews for the other models,held them in my hand at the Department store and found the only difference between this and the higher priced models is in the style of the handle and the fancy lights showing the remaining battery life. Also the Elite models have the beep every 30 seconds during the 2 minute timer. This model has all the features I need: Easy reach brush(Uses same replacement heads as the Elite models),2-minute timer. Since these things only last a couple of years anway, what's the sense of spending another $30 or more for features you don't need to clean your teeth. Buy this toothbrush and use the money you saved to buy replacement heads.

Good Experience With Sonicare
The Sonicare Essence is my second Sonicare toothbrush. Previously, I used an Advance, which lasted about four and a half years. Prior to that, I had a different brand of electric brush. Some observations follow.

In general, any Sonicare would be a wise investment for you. No question, years of using it have saved me time and money at the dentist. By now you've seen from the other reviews how effective it is at cleaning your teeth. As I get older, I'm finding just how effective a job it also does at slowing my gum recession. I consider the sonic system superior over other brand's rotating mechanical approaches, which seemed to have more of an unpleasant taste and couldn't be used with just any brand or style of toothpaste, unlike the Sonicare.

The Essence and Elite models use the more slender heads versus the Advance. Slender is more comfortable as you maneuver the head around your mouth. Also, the slender heads tend to stay cleaner from build-up and residue, reducing the effort and need for periodic head cleaning. So far, I've found the slender heads to last as long as the Advance ones: about 6 months.

What about Essence versus Elite? Other reviews have summed it up. Sonicare (Philips, actually) segments Elite versus Essence by tossing in a couple of extra bells and whistles. I recommend that you seriously consider the Essence and put the dollars you save towards your first head replacements.

As far as usage goes, it's hard not to have an effective brushing technique with Sonicare. Place it against your teeth and gums at an angle and move it across the surfaces from one side of your mouth to the other. Be prepared for a moderately loud sonic tone in your skull, which can be a bit deceptive to others in the room with you because it's a much more muted noise to them (just in case they have the urge to speak to you while you brush). Yes, if you bump the brush plastic against your teeth, you'll get the rattle effect, which is a tad startling. With a little practice, that rarely happens unless you rush your brushing motions.

If you use a fluoride toothpaste and have a particular brushing pattern, say top-front at start, bottom-inside at finish, just reverse your pattern the additional times you brush each day. Why? To give the fluoride a chance to stay on your different teeth surfaces longer before you rinse it out.

Lastly, I make it a point to unplug my Sonicare between full charges and run it down to complete discharge. Even though rechargeable battery technology has reached the point where the "memory effect" we used to experience with the old Ni-Cad batteries isn't much of an issue anymore, I think this approach tends to keep the batteries conditioned and gets you a bit more mileage out of your brush handle. The sacrifice you make with this approach is that last brushing as the batteries drain to empty will likely be incomplete. So trot out the old manual standby to finish and then plug in the Sonicare to charge up. With my new Essence, I find I can go about a week this way, brushing twice a day.

I consider Sonicare one of those appliances that's a great investment and which will pay you dividends over the long haul. Highly recommended.

Update Summer 2008:
Over 2 years of use on this appliance and my satisfaction level remains high. Regarding head replacements, I do want to add one observation. If you go 6 months like I do before swapping heads, the firmness of the new head will feel especially pronounced, perhaps to the point of causing gum tenderness. In that case, back off the hand pressure you apply, and in about a week, your gums should acclimate. Enjoy!

Pay more for the better design.
Do yourself a favor and buy the Sonicare Flex Care. The newer Flex Care models are an upgrade without the screw-on design flaw of this Sonicare model. This model has a hideous design where the saliva and other brushing liquids seep down into the inner mechanisms of the hand piece and pool up in a really disgusting way and requires you to take it apart and clean off inner crevices made up of metal and plastic parts. The new design eliminates all that slew of slime. This brushing action is fantastic, just like the new one, but this design stinks...literally.
